We all want to experience our intentions as soon as possible. .. We want to manifest more powerfully and minimize the lag time between wishing and having. This can be done, and the most effective means to do this, is to go beyond visualization and get into the realm of experiential simulation.  In simulation you visualize but also add as many additional real world modalities as possible in order to create a virtual world where your dreams presently exist and you are there enjoying them right now.

Specifically, we’re talking about intense visualization with the complementary components of touch, .. feel, .. taste, .. and smell. In short, you don’t just see what’s going on but you totally immerse yourself in it. And you do this to actually create and live your dreams. I first found this useful years ago when I wanted to complement my technical engineering career with something totally unrelated, personal training. And I got there only by creating a simulation of myself helping people achieve fitness to become happier and healthier. Once I started simulating I started attracting, first the contacts in the fitness industry, the coursework, the completion of testing, certification and finally the position where I was working as part of the team helping middle aged people get a fresh start. Believe me, this process works.

Now you might have visualized before and came to the conclusion that it’s weak. Well, it can be. But it can also be incredibly strong and powerful. It’s the difference between a fleeting daydream and a full blown nightmare that wakes you up in the middle of the night. THAT’S what I’m talking about here! Step into the zone to where your imagined experience is so real that you feel the thrills, the victory and excitement of achieving and living your dream.

Is the process easy? Definitely. Is it immediate? No, not unless you’re well practiced in creating mental simulations. The key is to start and make the best simulation that you can, then keep repeating it with each time enhancing it with additional details. ..  Every time before going into the simulation ask yourself “What else would I be experiencing?” .. Perhaps a touch, a background sound, feelings of your body position and breathing. Really get into it but don’t pressure yourself to be perfect. Seriously, be extremely vigilant not to allow any negativity into the process. Rather, feel passionate and excited about visiting your simulation .. and this is easy to do once you fully and totally believe that by doing this you’re actually manifesting your dreams.

In addition to developing a total sensory experience also be creative in the simulation’s content. For instance, you could experience driving your new BMW. .. That’s nice. But why not create a mini story line of walking up to it at the dealership, being told by the salesman that the car is registered, inspected and fueled-up for you. .. He’s holding out the keys, you hold out your hand and feel and hear them fall into your palm, you open the door, get in, feel the muscles of your arm move as you close the door….create an entire story of leaving the dealership, driving up Route 3, raising your arm out the window and yelling “Alright!” in victory…and truly and deeply experiencing the gratitude as you say “Thank you for this car” over & over …..

So try to create a compelling story. And like the sensory aspect don’t pressure yourself to get it perfect the first time. But rather start and consistently add to and improve upon it. Just feel good about it and how it is evolving. .. And consistently ask yourself: “How can I make this even better and more powerful?”

By experimenting with this and observing the results, I found that the process could be advanced to the next level by including a visceral feeling that your dream is consistent with the person you really are. So as previously mentioned in Part 2 of this series, an important aspect of this process is to for example take on the identity of a BMW Owner, of a person who’s in a deeply romantic relationship, of a wealthy individual…or whatever your dream happens to be. .. The more you can feel and believe that having your dream is an integral part of your identity, the stronger you’ll manifest.

A final comment. The one thing that’s an absolute must for me is that when my dream does manifest, that I actually live the story I had simulated. This means arranging for the car to be fueled and inspected, to have the keys handed to me and to be yelling like some kind of road-raged lunatic “ALRIGHT!!” as I pump my arm up and down while driving up Rt. 3. You’ve got to do this, it’s like closing the deal and beside that, it’s just way too much fun to ever pass up.
